Tutor's Guide : Coaching the student

A tutor’s guide on using the booklet to teach the student:

(1) Please go through the content of the topic before you start your session.

      Each topic has the following:

            (a) Definition (to understand the Mathematics concept)

            (b) The usage (Application of the concept)

            (c) The method /formula to answer questions (step-by-step method)

            (d) Examples (to apply method)

(2) Start with explaining the definition.

(3) Then, show the method to solve the questions by working on the examples with the students.

(4) Observe your student when he/she is doing the Example questions

            (a) ensure that the steps to solve the questions are followed

                 : Circle/underline keywords, Draw model(working), Solve the question

            (b) point out their careless mistakes

            (c) clarify their doubt when they hesitate in doing the steps

 (5) Create your own example question to test the student, if necessary.
